Remembering an existing, long-standing hobby loved by many. Do you remember your first model car or airplane? Boat? Or maybe you were strictly team Lego? Hot Wheels for life? It’s hard to forget the lust of the first Tamiya RC car kits. Perhaps you’re more familiar with names like Revell or Maisto? I still remember the days I’d visit my neighborhood Pharmacy. I would be delighted by the sight of the Matchbox Carousel display. Ranging from 50 cents to $2.00, it was a constant thing. You always had to have the next one. But, it didn’t stop there. You soon discovered those zippy, amazing little cars that whizzed by you at light speed. For me, it was the allure of putting together one of those exotic cars you could only dream of driving. Remember that brightly colored Lamborghini Diablo on your bedroom wall? Ah, the memories.
#COVID-19 has indisposed many of us and affects people everywhere in all different ways. One of the ways I’m making use of the #quarantine time is by revisiting those simpler days. Reliving those moments of peace and tranquility. I am currently planning on building the Revell Ferrari Enzo Model car kit and will be documenting the process. Make sure to follow along for updates!
