So I decided to take the plunge and begin building one of the kits I’ve ammassed during this lockdown period. I just can’t bring myself to open anything that still sealed but who knows maybe if I get bored enough. Either way, it’s an involved process. The kit comes with just the pieces you need to put things together. But, you still need to acquire paints and materials on your own. That said, Amazon has been great for me to get the tools and paints I needed in a pinch.
I had to source a kit that included exacto knife, sanding sticks, tweezers, clippers, picks, etc. I also had to source a cutting mat, paint brush assortment and of course, paints. My wife was kind enough to buy me a Testors kit that includes many of the common enamel paints used to finish these model kits. I’ll be covering my progress on these mini builds via YouTube with the occasional update via these blogs.
